Cherrell M. Shells is a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner who joined Michigan Health Specialists in 2010. Cherrell completed her undergraduate nursing education at Western Michigan University and later earned her graduate degree from Wayne State University. She received a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Michigan in 2017. She is a member of both the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners. She enjoys all aspects of primary care and has a special interest in adolescent medicine and women’s health. Cherrell takes great pride in establishing sincere relationships with her patients, promoting positive health behaviors, and helping to improve the overall health of her patients. Her enthusiasm, compassion, and expertise have been highly regarded by all who see her for their care. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, exercising, and traveling.
